Trench Knife Dagger from Old Spanish Sword

This is an example of a Trench Knife Dagger made from an old Spanish cut-down sword. It is mounted with a blade that now measures about 8 1/2 inches in length. The blade shows to have been cleaned in recent years but does remain in good condition and is marked "Toledo" on one side.

The brass ribbed hilt is enhanced with a decorative pommel with wears a pretty aged patina. The leather scabbard is cut down and has lost the base fitting, however the throat fitting is present and wears a decorative frog stud as well as is marked on the backside.
